Addictions Counsellor, Public Speaker, Advocate
Who is
Anna Elston
I am an accredited Addictions Counsellor in Bournemouth Dorset with a First Class Honours Degree from the University of Bath. I have delivered a speech to HRH The Duchess of Cambridge and received a Marsh Trust Award for "Exceptional Individual in the Field of Recovery." I have 12 years of addiction-related experience, having worked in three of the UK's leading treatment centres: Clouds House in Wiltshire, Providence Projects Ltd and Action on Addiction (SHARP) in Bournemouth. As Senior Coordinator of the Amy Winehouse Foundation Resilience Programme, I taught volunteers in recovery from substance misuse to deliver their own life experiences in school assemblies and workshops. This not only helped to raise awareness with young people, but also built confidence and self-esteem in the volunteers, enabling many to go on to paid employment and lead productive, meaningful lives.
If you're looking for a counsellor, I offer a one-to-one online, confidential counselling service. I understand first-hand how scary it is to reach out for help. But the good news is, you've taken the first step. Email or phone me to arrange a free initial online consultation.
If you are looking for a confident public speaker with an inspirational story, I am available for podcasts, radio and TV interviews, documentaries and face-to-face talks. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss this service.
